Exactly right. When we ask for what we want and it's different to what someone has already decided is right without knowing us or what we like we're labelled 'difficult'. Not our problem!
People who say you are difficult are not your people.
Isn’t it wonderful, however, when you find those people who are more than happy and almost relieved to see you speaking up and advocating for yourself and your needs even when you don’t know what the response from the other person will be? So brave. I totally understand this, Geneen. So get it!
I have an appointment with a breast specialist on Tuesday for some symptoms I have been having for over a month. My mother had breast cancer in 2023. I was so relieved when I went to my doctor and they never once treated me as if I was being difficult. They were just so relieved that I came in and got some help. They have treated me like I’ve always deserved to be treated. With love, care, respect, and as the worthy human being that I am and always have been. They are my people now. 💕
If being difficult means speaking truth, standing up for myself and others and holding my boundaries, then I’m happy to be ‘difficult’
Me too!

What I’ve learned after 50 years of life:
People who say you are difficult are not your people.
